Franziska: Hi there and welcome back. I just got back from our annual event called The Experience Summit and I wanted to share something that I‘ve observed during this event. So one of the things that most, sort of touched my heart that made me so happy was to see these amazing business owners transform almost in front of my eyes. And so many of the attendees came to me and said they feel like in the last 48 hours of being at this event, The Experience, they feel like they‘ve had some amazing transformations, even personally. It made me think of how important it is to keep investing in ourselves and not only professionally, but also personally, because as we grow as business owners or entrepreneurs, so do our businesses. So usually I see that when we sort of evolve as human beings, so do our results and so do our businesses. So it‘s really important to take a little bit of time out, maybe every week or even every day to learn and to grow and to feed our brains.

There are very different ways that you can do this. Of course, you can do this by attending seminars or also by reading books. I personally read a book a week because I just love reading. Also, listening to podcasts. I listen to a lot of podcasts on my iPhone when I‘m driving somewhere or when I‘m doing something that I don‘t have to think too much, like not that I clean very much but if I go shopping or I have to do something that I don‘t have to think, I‘ll listen to a podcast or an audio book. You can learn in very different ways. For you to make this feasible, you can say, maybe, every day you spend half an hour learning something whether that‘s reading or listening to something or maybe an hour a week on the weekend. I would also encourage your team to do the same because basically you want to “smart-ify” your team because the smarter your team, the more success your company will have. So encourage your team to do the same and maybe even investing for them to go to seminars or maybe you buy them books. Because I love books so much, I sometimes just buy people books because I think they can also learn something from reading a book or I bring my books in here to Basic Bananas and anyone can read them.

So maybe think about for yourself. How can you learn more? What can you do to set aside a little bit of time to develop your mind, your brain, you personally.
