We understand as a small business owner how busy life can get and you often put try new activities at the bottom of your to-do list. But did you know doing new things often could actually stimulate your creativity? In this episode of BBTV, Franziska shares a personal story of how she goes about finding new inspiration as a business owner and where you can start.

(0:37) Immerse yourself

(0:55) Take time out

(1:10) Do something you wouldn‘t normally do

Franziska: Hi and welcome back! Today, I wanted to share something with you that I just did this morning and that was that I went to the museum here in Sydney, the MCA. It‘s called the Museum of Contemporary Art and I went there with some of my clients. What I found is that it‘s a really good idea when you run a business but also just for your own personal development, it‘s such a great idea to immerse yourself into arts or music, or writing books, or even nature or in sports.

So why it‘s great is because when you‘re working so hard as a business owner, which you probably do, you get so booked out in the work that you‘re doing. So every now and then, take the time out of your day to go and immerse yourself.

Sometimes, immersing yourself in something that you normally maybe wouldn‘t do, so if you normally wouldn‘t go to a museum or if you normally wouldn‘t maybe go watch an art show or music or a performance, do something that you normally wouldn‘t do because sometimes you get the most inspiration from those exact things.

So, I always push myself to go to art and music because I know it will feed my inspiration. Some of you don‘t have the epiphany right then and there, you didn‘t have the epiphany this morning at the museum, but I know that these epiphanies will come when you need them.

So that‘s my tip for today. It‘s to just, maybe when you can, maybe put it in your diary, maybe once a month or once a quarter, or once every six months is to immerse yourself into something you might not normally do. I reckon it‘s a really good way to grow personally and professionally. Also, if you have any recommendations for us, of things that we could do other than the things that I mentioned, I would love to hear them.

Thanks again for watching. As always, we love having you here and I can‘t wait to share more goodness with you. See you later.
