Franziska: Hi team! I just finished hosting a session here talking about how to create a flourishing, healthy, and positive culture in your business and as you probably already know here at Basic Bananas and The Business Hood, we are super passionate about this stuff. So I thought I’ll share some points with you that we are doing here and that also have proven in many organisations to work super well. So one of them, and I’ll go maybe into more details for each of these points later in a future video, but one of the things is gratitude. So having a practice of gratitude in your business, and you can do this in different ways. We do a gratitude circle, where in our weekly team meetings; now virtual team meetings, we give each other gratitude. So we every person gives somebody gratitude until every person has had gratitude. We also look at focusing on people’s strengths so we actually just compiled a spreadsheet that has every team member in it and it also lists what are people’s strengths, so what are they really good at and what would they like to learn; so what’s their development plan with us here in the company so they see progress. Because progress is another point to create a healthy culture. And so is understanding people’s strengths and then helping people play by their strengths. Another point is of course giving people meaning and purpose so having a really good and meaningful purpose statement. Again, something I’ll talk about later. Also, and two more things is of course people will have a better feel, will feel more amazing and happier, and more successful in the culture if they also feel really good in themselves. So physical and physical health and well-being are really really important. Now with people working from home more, this might be a little bit easier for people to actually implement. So to look after themselves to go for a walk or a surf or whatever people like before and after work. And the last one is a positive relationship. So when you have people in your team that are also friends and we see this in our business big time when people are friends, and we definitely see how at basic bananas and the business food a lot of people also spend time with each other outside of work, it creates a really healthy culture because you enjoy spending time with your colleagues and it’s a good thing when you enjoy spending time with your colleagues because you bring happiness, it makes you happier and happiness also increases productivity and you don’t want to take fake sick days and things like that. So these are a few points I thought I’d share with you and I’ll share more as we go along. I’ll go into more detail if you like for some of these points to explain a little bit more. I hope this is helpful. See you next time!
