Franziska: Hi there and welcome back! I am so excited to have you here. I am going to share with you our process of the Culture Matrix™ which is a process that helps businesses to create an outstanding culture. And this is video one out of four where I’ll step you through the process. Over the last few years, we’ve done a lot of work in our branding agency with companies to help them with this. And the reason why is because culture really matters even more now in order to attract the best talent and to create a team that is motivated, engaged, and excited about your business. And this is important if you want to grow. As much as marketing, when we talk a lot about marketing, internal branding is just as important if you have a growing team or you want to grow your team and your company. So in this first video, what we’ll do over the course of four videos is go through the entire process of the Culture Matrix™. In this first video, the first step we’ll do is— a few questions that you can ask your team, if you already have a team, to help you understand where your culture is at the moment and also, to inform how to put together a “culture code”, culture principles, principles for your business. Now, the reason why this topic is so important also is because culture is such a great amplifier in business and you know this if you have great team members, if you have a great team a great culture, everything else in business seems a lot more effortless. If you have a not so amazing team, if you have a few team members that are not the right people in your culture, everything else in business is a lot more frustrating. And it really is such a great amplifier in business so that’s why doing something to have a great culture and to attract more A-players is so important. Now as I mentioned before, the first step in doing that is to do a little bit of a stock take. Do a little bit of a “Culture Health Check” like we would call it. And we use a survey when we do this with clients, we use a survey that I would love to share with you now so that you can do it internally in your own business too. There are 10 questions that I’ll quickly readout for you that you can note down and then you can use those if you want to go through this process and create an amazing culture, and Culture Book even, then start here with those 10 questions. The first question is~ and then I’m just going to use the name Basic Bananas; you can insert your own name of the company. When you think of Basic Bananas~ first question; what comes to mind? When you think of Basic Bananas, what comes to mind? How will you describe Basic Bananas? Number two, what do you like most about working at Basic Bananas? Second question, what do you like most about working at Basic Bananas? Number three, how would you rate the company culture from a scale of one to ten, how would you rate the culture here? Question four, what fun activities do you do with the Basic Bananas team, if any, which events are you celebrating together? These could be anniversaries, birthdays, team gatherings. Question number five, what is one thing that could be improved to make Basic Bananas a better place to work? What is one thing that could be improved? Question number six, what is one of your favourite memories shared with your colleagues? If you already have a team, what is one of your favourite memories shared with your colleagues? Number seven, what are some team perks and benefits you currently enjoy? This could be working remotely, flexible working arrangements, unpaid as many holidays as you want to take, unpaid or paid, any perks. Number eight, what other team perks or benefits would you love to have what other team perks or benefits would you love to have? Number nine, what is one unique value you think Basic Bananas should live by? What is one value that you think Basic Bananas should live by? And the last question is, what do you love most about your team? Or, and similar question, what do you love most about your team, or how to describe your team members? Because the answers then to this question and some of the other ones will then help you create your culture code, which is what we’re going to go through in the next video. So these are the 10 questions, as an example that you can ask. Of course, you can ask less, or more, I probably wouldn’t ask more, just to make it easy to do. And this will then inform the next three steps in a culture process. The next one we’re going to go through as I mentioned, is reviewing this data and also creating your culture code. So make sure you come back again for the next video and until then, as always, it’s so great to have you here. I hope you enjoy this content and we have more amazing stuff planned for you in 2022. We always love hearing from you, so make sure you do get in touch with us, and share your comments and your thoughts. We definitely love seeing you in this community. So thanks so much for being here and I’ll see you in the next video.
