Franziska: Hi and welcome back to Basic Bananas TV. Today we have a very beautiful setting, and we even have an audience here, we have a few awesome cows. These cows are so cute, I’m hoping that they will come a little bit closer, they’re pretty fun, they just walked away before when they realized I don’t have any food for them. I’m in Tasmania at the moment, and I came down here before just to hang out and check out the surrounding of the place that I’m staying at, and then I said, “Hey, this will be so perfect for a quick video tip for you with this beautiful scenery.” The sun is about to go down.

Today what I wanted to share with you is what I believe is one of the most important roles as a business owner. This is one thing that I think you as a business owner really have to think about, focus on, constantly be aware of, and that is to never stop improving on things. I believe that one of our major roles as business owner is to always constantly improving on the things that we’re doing. There are different areas in your business of course that you can focus on to improve, one of them would be your team for example.

Are there things in your team right now that you could improve? Or course, operations always. Are there things that you could do right now in terms of your operations to make them more efficient. Even admin, is there anything in your admin work that you could do a little bit better. Of course also marketing. Marketing can always be improved. I can talk about this forever and I probably will in a different video.

Look at your marketing, what can you improve right now? What can you do better? Also your sales processes, what sort of sales processes do you have in place? What can you improve? Most importantly also, your customers. How can you make your customer experience even better? How can you improve that experience that your customer or client has with your business? I will actually talk in a different video about that exact topic, how can you make your customer experience more amazing, how can you blow their mind, how can you wow them.

Of course, another one that it just came into my mind and went again, your product and your services. Always look at your product or services and think about, “Hey, what is the one thing right now that I could improve?” If you’re unsure about what you could improve, ask your customer. Ask your customer or your client say, “Hey, look, if there was one thing that you would suggest that I could improve right now, what would it be?” What you could do is maybe … because there are so many areas in the business that you can constantly improve and work and do better, so maybe what you could do is focus on one of those per month, focus on one area per month and then just improve that for 30 days. Pick one area per month and then focus on that for the next 30 days.

If you have a team, you might want to involve even your team. I might say, “Hey, it’s March now and the area that we want to improve for the next 30 days are our marketing campaign.” I’d like everyone to think about and look at what have we got in the website, if we could improve our email signatures, our brochures, our campaigns, anything that is out there, how can we improve things. That’s really pretty simple to do but it will make a huge impact because really the magic and the power of running a successful business is in the details. Let me know what you think about this tip and share your own little ideas about what is one thing, maybe you can even be held accountable below this video. What is one thing that you could improve right now? I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks again for watching. Thank you little cute dude and big guy back there for being my audience members today.
