Franziska: Hi there and welcome back! Julia and I here just had a little discussion about the power of using case studies and even more so, the power of using before and after case studies.
Franziska: The reason why they are so powerful for our customers, and we even use it in our design agency, is because they are very specific and very tangible and also very aspirational. So a lot of your prospects would watch the before and after and feel like “I want to make that sort of progress.” Now what we want to do is give you 5 tips that you can use to make this before and after case study very powerful.
Julia: Number 1, be real. Make sure that all the data that you‘re using is actually not made up. So it‘s real data and actual data. If you use client information, make sure that you ask for permission for any testimonial, so to speak.
Julia: Number 2, it‘s all about having great visuals. So for any business, really, the before and after shots, in terms of imagery and quality of the imagery is essential to make a really big impression.
Franziska: Exactly. To show the progress.
Franziska: Number 3 is human, be human. People love the human story. So, if your customer has a beautiful human story, from where they‘ve come from and the progress that they have made thanks to your products or services, it‘s really good to use that. Again, of course, with your permission.
Franziska: Number 4 is be specific. As Julia said, if you get some really specific data, you know, numbers of how things have changed for them, really specific stuff that you can share, it‘s really useful to do that because it‘s very tangible and very credible.
Franziska: Then the last one, number 5. Of course, once you have this case study, once you have this before and after, make sure you share it. There are different avenues you can use to share this stuff. It can be on your website, it can be via your email list, it can be on social media. Just make sure that you get to share this because this is more inspiring. You know the before and after case studies are more inspiring than just using a few sentences from someone that said something about you and it‘s very powerful.
Franziska: Julia and I are going to share a whole brand map which is a framework that we have created here of 9 elements that make a business really powerful when it comes to branding. We‘re going to discuss this and share it with you on an upcoming webinar. We will put all the details below here so you can see if you make it. It‘s next week. If you can‘t make it, I‘m sure we will have a replay for you. Just register anyway and we will send you the replay. It‘s an hour long. It‘s going to be pretty awesome.
Franziska: If you know someone who would benefit from this information, any business owner, please make sure you share it with them, too. We can‘t wait to see you next time.
