Franziska: A question we get asked a lot when it comes to websites, in particular, is “what should I put on my homepage?” and one really smart way to go about your homepage, especially if you sell products online so if you have an e-commerce website, is to ask yourself two questions: one is what is your best selling product or service; so which one of your product is being sold/the most it’s the most popular one, and number two, which one of your products or services would you like to sell more. And these two questions are important because if you have an e-commerce website and let’s say you have 10, 20, 30, or a hundred or more products, you really want to make it easier for people to buy from you by making recommendations. So if you have quite a big offering, it will help your customers your visitors to your website if you can make a recommendation. So on your homepage, what you want to do is you want to have a section where you either have a product (or products) where you say these are our most popular products or even these are our recommended products. So that instead of having customers have to go through all your products, they can go there and the ones that want to just go quick, they don’t want to go look at everything. They go, “okay, most popular product that’s the one I’m gonna go for” and this is just a really smart way to position products on your homepage and to make it easier for your customers to buy from you to make the whole experience just a little bit more effortless. And of course, when it comes to websites, it’s all about user experience and it’s about making the whole process effortless. So think about that if you do have an e-commerce website ask yourself those two questions: what’s your most popular product and which ones do you want to sell more of, maybe because of its the best one, or you’ve got the highest margins and then feature those on your homepage.
