Franziska: Hi there and welcome back! I just quickly wanted to share something with you that I thought might be helpful especially right now in this current climate. Here in Australia, we just have another round of lockdown with more outbreak in this current pandemic and it’s affecting a lot of people on every level and so I thought this concept; maybe having awareness around this concept might be helpful for you also and this is~ it’s a bit more of a mindset tip and it’s around getting into a spiral of negative, or, changing that and getting into a spiral of positive. And you know, we see this spiral not only right now but this can happen any time in our life and an example is let’s say, we wake up in the morning, we realize that we slept through the alarm clock, we’re like a little bit upset about it and then we spill coffee all-over our new outfit, and then maybe we rush to a meeting only to find out that the client has cancelled the meeting, and then we get home we realise we forgot the keys. It’s this almost spiral of one not very amazing thing leads to the next, not a very amazing thing and it’s like almost a spiral down and I mean I’ve found myself when I have something like that happen and I keep focusing and thinking about and now I just built that and then I dropped that, and this happened. It’s almost like one bad thing invites the next bad thing. So what I find really useful is to stop this chain of reactions and to make this spiral go from negative down into positive up and here are sort of four things that I find very useful when this happens so when I find myself a little bit on a spiral and it’s like, “Ah this happened and this happened, so everything today seems to not work,” is to just stop. Just stop and literally just stop everything. And then secondly, either take a few deep breaths and be aware of what’s happening; that I’m just on this spiral and I’ll let it sort of take me on this roller coaster. So stop, take a few breaths and have awareness or even, what I often do is just quickly a five-minute meditation. I just stop everything and just pause everything that is going on in the chaos. And then number three is to focus on at least three things that are working right now. So let’s say everything today hasn’t gone well. You’ve maybe had a bit of an average day or below-average day. You stop everything, you take a few breaths or you do meditation and then you focus on three things that are working or that you are grateful for. Like for example, I’m grateful that I’m healthy, or I’m grateful that I’m surrounded by amazing people, or I’m grateful that my coffee was delicious except for the part that I spilled and just focus on a few quick positive things and interestingly enough, the more we focus on positives the more they will be invited in. And suddenly you see that change. You actually see change; the change going from a chain of reactions into the negative to a chain of reactions to the positive. And then number four is repeat, repeat that same thing again. If I go back into the negative, go back and do the same chain of positive again where I stop, I take a few breaths, maybe I meditate and I think about everything that is working, what I’m grateful for, and automatically you will shift into the positive. So I thought this might be helpful for you also right now if you know someone else who needs to hear about this who would benefit from understanding this spiraling that we get onto and how to switch from the negative into the positive, feel free to share this video also, and as always, thanks for being here. I do think that one of the most important things right now in this climate we’re in and in this uncertainty is the people that you surround yourself with, and here you have a community of business owners that have your back. So make sure that you come, hang out, stay connected with people and pick up the phone and let us know how we can help you. Until next time, stay safe and I’ll talk to you soon.
