Franziska: Hi and welcome back. I quickly wanted to share something with you that we‘ve done recently here at the headquarters and that is we painted our building here yellow. So we leveraged our location and our building here to draw in more people into our headquarters here at Basic Bananas. What we did is we painted the building yellow and we put some palm trees on there and also some messages that will draw people in.

Now signage is very under-utilized for a lot of businesses but it‘s one of the greatest avenues to catch people‘s eye when they drive past or walk past. So if you do have a location where people walk past or drive past, try and put out some signage that will draw people in.

Now some businesses don‘t own the buildings or you might not be able to paint it, but you can always use a different signage, just you can put signage on the walls that is not permanent. Or you can use this A-frames. The A-frames actually work really well for some businesses and they are not that expensive. Now, when you produce a piece for your building, a signage piece, make sure that it is reflective of your brand. Also make sure it‘s really well-designed. Now you really want to work with someone who is good at design work because it needs to be beautiful, it needs to be inspirational, it needs to make people want to come into your building. Also, make sure you have a really clear message on there and a call-to-action. So make sure that you ask people to come in depending on which industry you are in. Just use something that makes people want to come and have a look or makes people want to give you a call because they are intrigued by the message. Now if you use imagery on your signage, make sure that the image that you use is, basically a representation of your target market. So it needs to be a little bit aspirational and inspirational.
