Franziska: Hi there and welcome back! I wanted to share with you a quick, amazing, little ninja hack: how you can get into somebody’s pants; metaphorically of course. Well, you probably can use this also in the dating world, but this is definitely very useful in the business world. So let me tell you how this hack came about and then I’ll tell you what the hack is. So we’ve had an advertisement out on different job sites to hire a marketing team member and we’ve been receiving amazing applications. A lot of them actually. It’s a very popular role, it doesn’t come up very often and here at Basic Bananas, so we had a lot of great applications and actually we also have a video on how to write a great job ad so that you get also great applicants into your job roles. So out of all these applications, there were a few that stood out, and some because they wrote a really good letter. Some had a really good CV, actually, the letter and the approach matter more to us than the CV. Now there was one applicant out of all of them that did something very special. What she did is she included a personalised little video. It was maybe 30 seconds video, and she used a platform that we recommend to you – Bonjoro. You can find the link below this video so you can use it if you want it for your own business. And she sent us a 30-second video just saying, hi, introducing herself and saying something funny about bananas. And I saw the video of course, I looked at her CV, her CV was not the one that probably would have gotten her an interview but her video did. So based on her application, personalised with a little video, we invited her for the interview, and we invited a few other people for the interview. She made it to the second round and she ended up getting hired. So we just offered her the job last week and she’s ecstatic. If she hadn’t used a video in her email, a personalised video, she wouldn’t even have been invited because as I said, her CV wasn’t as matching as some of her experiences, not the CV, maybe not so much a CV, but her experiences, her background wasn’t as perfect, relevant as some of the other candidates but because of that one little hack, she got the interview. In the interview, she was amazing, she really showed us how passionate she is about marketing, and basically honest, and helping business owners so she got the gig. So I just thought this is a great example I wanted to share with you because you can use this, you can use personalised videos also in your own business, if you want to talk to potential partners or to potential clients, video is a great way to get in front of them and to make it very personalised and to get their attention.
