Franziska: Hi there! I quickly wanted to give you, and also share with you the Test Your Message, your “pitch” on a Four-year-old. What does that mean? So most, not most, but a lot of businesses really struggle to articulate what they do so often when you meet business owners and you ask them about their businesses, you walk away not really getting what this business does, not really understanding it and if people don’t understand what you do, it’s very hard to send your customers or clients to help you promote your business to refer you. And so a really good test to see if you are articulate with your message, with your “pitch”, is to test it on a child. Doesn’t matter how old—three, four, five, six, seven, eight, doesn’t matter. Test your message on a child and see if they get it do they get what you do. If they don’t, then revisit your message and maybe let them help you simplify it. They might even say kids are very creative. They might even say. “oh, so it’s like, blah”‘ and then you have a metaphor suddenly. So use this test in the next week or so to see if your message is articulate and then look at all your marketing pieces whether that is your website, any brochures you may have, anything you have, also verbal communication, and use your simplified version so that people can actually get what you do. They can recommend you, refer you, send your business, and work with you. So let me know how you go with this test and also post below the video if you want to share your pitch, your simplified version of your “pitch,” share it below, I would love to hear what you do and you know it’s also a little bit of a shameless plug for yourself to post under the video here and to share your message and I would just love to see a few examples so thanks again for tuning in and I can’t wait to share more of these challenges and tips and little ninja hacks with you as we go along here on this journey together. Bye for now.
