Franziska: So I was just talking to one of our Clever Bunch members here, and I wanted to share a little bit of their story with you and also one strategy that they have implemented that is quite simple to do and can make such a huge impact on your business, and your bottom line. And so this is a business, an e-commerce business. They make really beautiful kids’ clothing, and when they joined the Clever Bunch only about four months ago or so, they were at the make or break. They were either going to go hard and grow this business or do something else. Over the last four months or so they’ve grown very rapidly, and one strategy that they have implemented is adding a lead magnet on their website, so it’s an e-commerce website where people buy online now because of the pandemic, they had to change their business model a little bit. And on their website now they have a lead magnet where people leave their details, and they get a voucher that they can use on their first purchase. And in the last few months, they’ve grown the list from 46 or so people to just above~ over 500 people and you know for some of you that might be like 500 that’s not very much for a business like theirs, that is so personal and has loyal fans that rave about them; 500 is great in a few months because now they have an audience that is there when they have a new product launching an audience and they’re there, ready to buy and tell their friends about it. So, you know, some of you hear businesses talk about how big databases are, and it’s almost like a thing that you can wear with pride, it’s not. Because it really depends on your type of business and it depends also on the quality of your database. So, in their case, it’s a small list, but it’s a very engaged list. A list of loyal followers and that, in that case, you don’t need a huge list to grow your business. So I thought I’d share this with you for two reasons. One, make sure that you do have something like a lead magnet, “a first date”, as we call it, so that you can grow your own audience, you can build relationships with them, you can connect with them on a human level, and they can become super loyal followers. And number two, the size here doesn’t matter. The size of a list doesn’t really matter it matters~ it depends on how engaged they are. So I hope this is super helpful.
